About NetBird

NetBird is an open-source Zero Trust networking platform (Go) that connects people, machines and AI agents over a peer-to-peer WireGuard overlay network without central VPN gateways or open ports, with SSO/MFA, dynamic posture checks, granular access policies and activity logging (netbird.io). It can be self-hosted or used as NetBird Cloud; official clients cover iOS (App Store, v0.4.1) and other platforms, with a netbirdio/netbird Docker image, AUR and WinGet packages. License: GitHub API reports NOASSERTION; the repository LICENSE is BSD-3-Clause with AGPL-3.0 directories (management/, signal/, relay/, combined/) — recorded as BSD-3-Clause pending human confirmation (R1).
