About Plex
Plex Media Server is proprietary media server software that scans and organizes local media files and streams them to first-party client apps across phones, TVs, desktops and the web (plex.tv/your-media). Official server distribution covers the Docker Hub image plexinc/pms-docker and the plexmediaserver Snap; the Linux client ships as the plex-desktop Snap. A Plex Pass subscription unlocks premium features (plex.tv/plans) — pricing details pending human confirmation. The plexinc/pms-docker repository carries no license file (GitHub API license=null); its latest release is a Helm chart (helm-chart-1.9.0), not a server version.
